In Harvest Moon Another Wonderful Life...?

I'm trying to mary Marlin, but he always says "Whats this?..." I know why, it's because I used to want to mary Rock, in two cut scenes, I said good answers. That's IT TWO. And I gave him a couple gifts too, but he's like Muffy and is the easiest to mary so now he has 4 freakin hearts for me. HOW DO I LOWER HIS HEARTS DOWN. Because it's already FALL 9TH! Plz help!
