Is this not a form of idolatry? is this a catholic church or Christian? HELP?

Catholics are Christians and do not worship saints, although they do venerate. They ask the Saints to intercede on their behalf, much like you may ask an assistant manager at work to put in a good word for you to his or her boss. And just like nations put up statues and monuments to people who were important in their history, Catholics will have statues and name churches for people important in the Church's history.
