If you have not done so try different ammo. 22 lr semi auto's are typically picky on what ammo they shoot well. I have found that cci mini-mags work in most 22's. If it still doesn't work with different ammo then call marlin and explain the problem. If its a new gun they will fix it.

I'm trying to keep track of my period so I can have a better idea of when it'll come next month. Up until this point I had a general idea, but just kinda went with fhe flow (no pun intended, lol). Now I really want to keep records of what day it starts and how long it lasts, but I have a question. My period came last night at around 10:30. I'm not sure if I should count that as the "first day" though. Technically I did get it on June 26, but there was only an hour and a half left of the day. I'm getting all the typical first day symptoms today, whereas I didn't have any last night. Should I count today, June 27th, as the first day, or yesterday?

I just want to get your input on this (Marlin 1894 forend problem)?

OK. I have a Marlin 1894 Cowboy in .44 magnum. I have cleaned it about 20 times after I first got it about two years ago, as I rarely take it out. Well yesterday I cleaned it, and was curious as to what was behind the forend as I have never taken it off. I took the 2 screws out that are on the cap towards the muzzle end, and took the cap off and then pulled the forend off. Now it willnot go back on. The screw holes will not like up with the cap. At first I thought the wood had swollen due to the humidity so I just let it sit overnight. Upon inspection today, I found out it is not even made of wood - it is plastic. WTF. Does plastic expand like that? I really do not understand what is going wrong. I want to avoid shaving off some plastic to fit the cap back on, as I believe I should not have to do that, but I am seeing no other choice. What is your take? What do you think I should do? Bring it to a gun smith? This is the dumbest problem one could have with a ******* gun. I swear to God.

Fellow Christians: Do we cling to the notion that America was founded on "Christian principals"?

It was founded by predominantly Christian leaders based on Biblical principles and morals. Yes, there were exceptions and you can probably dig up some quotes and make a case that some of the principles contradict certain passages from the Bible, but if you look overall at the founders and their guidelines for our country, you would have to be blind to miss the fact that this country was founded on what the people of that time felt was a Biblically sound foundation. I have a problem with my Marlin 795's last shot bolt hold open?

I took my 795 to the range for the first time today. The LSBHO worked after the very first mag. Then after that, it stopped holding open. The first batch of ammo we shot was really old and dirty POS Remington ammo (really really old, really really dirty). Then the second batch after that was new, never-been-opened Remington .22 target ammo. The first mag of that held the bolt open, but that was it, never again after that. The Remingtons were very bad. There was one dud and they stopped ejecting manually after a while, but would cycle properly when fired. Then I moved on to CCI mini-mags, and even THAT wouldn't hold it open. I ended up dry-firing the rifle a lot today, and I would cringe every time I heard that "click", in fear of having broken the gun. As much as I would hate to do it, I'm thinking about returning this rifle and getting a Marlin Model 60, or maybe a Marlin 925.

Having laptop issues?

Well....we finally started getting into the groove of his work schedule but yesterday he was over at my house and he got a voicemail from another job. My boyfriend then explained to me that his friend/co-worker that he goes home with after work sometimes has a friend that needs work done to his boat and needs the wood and a bunch of stuff re-done on the boat and wants my boyfriend and his friend to help re-store the boat. The only upsides to this job is that he'll be making GOOD money and that this retsoring the boat job is only going to be a 3 month project max. My boyfriend explained to me that he feels that he really needs to take this job to plan for our future. So now he will be working two jobs and we really wont see eachother! I can tell he really doesnt want to take the job but he needs to do it. My boyfriend didnt go to college so in his words he "needs to start working his *** off if he ever wants to get anywhere". My prom is on Thursay and I'm a bit nervous because the dress I'm wearing, for one, is knee length. hi, I was hoping for some feedback from experienced users of steam mops. I need to know which one is better, The Shark Steam Mop, or the Bissel Steam Mop? I have used both, and I found the Bissel one lets it stay wet for at least ten mins or so, whereas the shark dries within seconds. I need ideas/recommendations for a next rifle?

Right now I have a semi-auto .22lr rifle (Marlin 795). And I'm getting to the point where I want to start saving up for my next firearm, which will definitely be a rifle. At first I was thinking another .22lr, except a bolt-action one. And that still is an option, but now I'm also taking .223 and .308 into consideration. For .223 I was thinking a Ruger Mini-14, because AR's are heavily restricted in my state (CT), because we still have the assault weapons ban. My only qualms with the Mini are its bench-accuracy (even though its real-world-accuracy is just fine), and its expensive prices for quality mags. For .308, I was thinking a springfield M1A. My qualms with that rifle is that the rifle itself is just so God-damned expensive, and I feel that, me being only 16 almost 17 years old, .22lr to .308 would be way too big of a jump in cartridge size. To anybody reading this question, what are your thoughts/ideas?

What's wrong with the Marlins this year?

They do have a decent record but they are still underachieving. You would think with that lineup they should be able to challenge the Phillies for the division title. But again, there are some stars on that team that are performing so poorly that it is dragging the whole team down. Hanley Ramirez has been a disgrace this year. He can't hit worth a damn this year and he looks lazier than ever. Coghlan is performing quite poorly. Infante and Buck are also underperforming. Vazquez and Volstad should probably be sent to the minors but for some reason Edwin Rodriguez is keeping them in the starting rotation. They have had more than enough time to improve but they have failed. The Marlins may have to admit to themselves that Vazquez is washed up and they may have to get him off the team and they just have to eat that money they are paying him for the year. It's a tough loss of money but it has to be done. I would make a case that Volstad shouldn't have even made the team this year because he's awful (he's never been a good pitcher) but not only did he make the team but he earned himself basically a guaranteed spot in the starting rotation. I say replace Volstad with Brian Sanches and get Volstad out of that roster. Don't even put him in the bullpen. He's dead weight and he's taking up space. Some moves need to be made all around but Edwin Rodriguez is not making them. With the proper management, they are a team that could be in first place. The problem is mismanagement. What's your take on the Marlins?

i have 2 marlin model 60 semi-auto 22 caliber rifles. one is brand new and the other 17 years old with alot of rounds fired through it. while out shooting the other day 2 different brand names of ammo was used. while the new rifle had some jams and failures to feed with one brand of ammo, the older rifle functioned flawlessly with both brands of ammo. it appeared as though the problem with the jamming in the new rifle was a couple of stovepipe jams, but most of the time the bolt failed to come back far enough to push another round into the chamber. i tend to think the reason is a combination of 2 things in the new rifle. one brand of ammo wasnt quite as powerful as the other, and maybe because the the new rifle being new and with a stiffer recoil spring, it was faling to come back far enough to engage a new round. also the new rifle has a much stiffer trigger pull. are these monir problems likely to correct themselves as i fire more rounds through the rifle?

How do I correctly adjust the sight on a lever action rifle, front or rear sight?

I recently bought a Marlin 1894 in .357 magnum, and it came complete with a sight which is out. I've had it at the range, and it is putting patterns to the right a little. 2 range officers confirmed this. My dilemma is this. One of the range officers told me to move the front sight (to the right) with my hand somehow? It is a standard screw in front sight so I don't think it could be tapped? He also said quite adamantly, not to dare go touching the rear sight! However, the manual says to tap the rear sight to adjust windage. Does anyone know why he would say this? I should also point out that on inspection, it looks to me that the rear sight is slightly misaligned to the right, so i'm tempted to tap it to the left, with a brass taper of course. Can anyone enlighten me?

My company have for the last 30 years operated a company sick pay scheme whereas you would receive up to 20 days sick pay. Although at the end of the entire contract it is written '****** reserve the right to make make changes', they have not been specific to what changes, (does that give them right to change things willy nilly?) and after 30 years of sick pay would it not be implied that it has become custom and practise and therefore would form part of the contract? However, they have now introduced without agreement from their employees, that after the 3rd sickness, sick pay would not be paid (even though they are operating it as 2 times off, then lose pay). hiya. i am 15 years old and my period is 9 day late. i have never had sex so im obviously not pregnant. I have Avid BB5 brakes on my Gary Fisher Marlin. Brakes were having trouble stopping the bike quickly. Thought that they needed new pads so I just installed them but the brakes still are having problems. I have to squeeze the brake handle all the way to the grip to get them to work at all. If you take note of the NHL's Washington Capitals, they didn't have many fans in past years and were in comparably the same position as these teams. Then they drafted Ovechkin, and have been marketing the team around how great this one player is, and all of a sudden people come to watch.
