Will Mormon leaders ever conform to the Second Commandment?
Recently my family visited Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah. We were astounded by the many symbols and statues. Being Jewish, we know about the great commandments, and were told by the guides that Mormons believe in and keep them. How is this so? Are statues and graven images of all sorts of things chiseled into and on top of and prominently displayed in bronze on the lovely grounds acceptable to God? Has He changed His mind about such idolatry? I don't wish to offend anyone, but please answer me...how do Mormon leaders get away with such ubiquitous hypocrisy? The two friendly guides seemed so comfortable with the inconsistency.
