To all of you who say being gay is not a choice how do you respond to these facts?

Let me first say that being attracted to someone of the same sex, is not always a choice, I do believe that some gay people will always be attracted to the same gender no matter how hard they try to deny it it, BUT choosing to act out homosexuality IS a choice. We are all born with a sex drive right? But the bible tells us that sex before marriage is wrong. Just because we have an "urge" or desire does not mean that it can't be controlled. there is a reason the bible tells us, “Deaden, therefore, your body members that are upon the earth as respects fornication, uncleanness, sexual appetite, hurtful desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of those things the wrath of God is coming.” (Col. 3:5, 6) -of course this will not be easy but if we love God enough he will bless our efforts and remember our loyalty to him instead of our selfish inclinations. So some people may not be able to get rid of the feeling of being attracted to someone of the same gender, but they can ignore it. they can choose to focus on other things, to help them fight that desire. As do those who choose not to marry and remain celibate as long as they have to, for some this could mean forever. God can give us the power beyond what is normal if we just have faith. So that being said, if we seek his help, he will give it to us!
